When I'm not on my bike, you'll find me in my organic-ish garden in #Cumbria. Favourite plants? Wisteria, hellebores, peonies, philadelphus...

Viburnum plicatum f. tomentosum 'Mariesii' syn. Viburnum mariesii

16 May 2019 • Morning peeps. Love this shrub. It flowers prolifically and has gorgeous autumn colour too. It looks best when grown on its own but I think this still looks good on the bank in front of our hedge #viburnum-plicatum 💚

I’m not sure I agree with the advice on here about pruning it...I leave mine alone as any pruning is likely to ruin its shape. The branches are almost horizontal and when in flower it looks like it is covered in snow ❄️⛄️❄️

Thanks Rachel. I actually let it do its thing a bit too much and ignored the fact it had layered itself so it did get very big. I’ve just got rid of the last one. Lots of friend now have this shrub though 😉😬😂 @rachelbrooks

Thanks Pauline. It’s one of those plants that takes so little attention that you risk taking it for granted 😃@pauline33

Good morning & thank you! It's a wonderful shrub but known more for the tiers of white flowers in the spring, though it usually produces a little something in the autumn too. @rachelbrooks @pelly @gailybob

Morning Jacqueline ☀️ the flowers are beautiful but I also love the red leaveS! ❤️ I hadn't seen this one so I googled it...it's gorgeous 👌🏼

If you have the space Rachel, it's definitely one to have. I used to have one in the middle of a bed so it could spread in every direction, but it had to go when we had some building work done. This one is on a slope by the side of the drive but it still produces tiers of flowers that look like the branches are covered in snow ❄️❄️❄️ @rachelbrooks

Well I do also call my sons by the dogs' names...which wouldn't be so bad except the dogs are girls! 🙈
