Finally it’s neither too wet, too windy, too icy or snowing! Pruning the vitis is so satisfying. It gets more gnarly every year... #vitiscoignetiae

Well done, there’s no way I’d be able to get any higher than half way 🤣😬

Thanks Sarah 😂 I love my ladders. They are so stable and I am completely happy going up and down them. Before I got them I would have had to insist that someone stood at the bottom 🙄 #ladders #best-ladders of all time 😬 @sieveheadsarah

Very nice ladders, excellent shape, throwing some moves

😂 That’s me 😉😂 Actually old and gnarly is probably nearer the mark @thehardygardener

Pure ballet on the ladders, grace in secateurs

Have you hit the whisky Aly?! 🥃🤣 @thehardygardener

Am tt and not in the audi way, tea and pink lemonade, that's me

I knew as soon as I posted that...Hope you had a good Burn’s night without the whisky. Tea and pink lemonade sounds like an interesting combo though 😉😂 @thehardygardener

Tea with dinner, pink afterwards and hmmm chocolate

👍 I like your style! 🍫@thehardygardener

29 Oct 18 • Pruned this today - much earlier than I would do usually but it had put in soooo much growth: it was in the gutters; round the drainpipe; trying to get over the roof; and interfering with the internet 😱 Took some round the corner to meet up with the other half. Not sure if this is a good idea or not 🤔 And I appear to have 🍇 😂

Good job done ✅

Shame they’re not edible!

Thanks Elaine. Just not sure about the two bits wrapping round the corner. Oh well. Time will tell @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom

I did taste one...and I’m still here. It was actually quite sweet 🍇😋 @rachelbrooks

Ooh! Nice with your sorbet then?! 😋

I’m such a wuss! I was too scared to do more than have a lick 🙄 @rachelbrooks

😆😆 no idea why...but I’m imagining you glancing round surreptitiously to check no one is watching before you licked it and then threw it over your shoulder! 🙈😂

🤣🤣 Nah! Bite. Lick. Squish. Though might see if I can find anything about their edibility (Is that a word?!) 😂😂 @rachelbrooks

Oh ruin the illusion why doncha?! 😆😆 umm yep, I believe it is! 🤓 I don’t think they’re poisonous...just not s’posed to be berry nice! 🤢

Well it was nice. And I have more... 😉😂 @rachelbrooks

This gets gnarlier every year. Finally managed to prune it today. It was too windy last time I tried & it's a long way up...

That's stunning, how old is it??? 👍🏻😍👍🏻

Good question... probably about 15 years.

Crimson glory vine living up to its name!

Oops! I thought I had left it a bit late but you know, life has a habit of getting in the way. The sap may be rising but I can’t see it doing it much harm… #vitiscoignetiae
Time flies doesn’t it?
It does Joan but no idea what I’ve been doing 😂 @joanboston
