Blooming! It needs a repot, but I didn't want to do it while it was working on flowering. It was a rescue from a few years ago, very small and very sad when I got it, with the stem rotted mostly away.
Look at that orange stem! Never heard of this one. 🌞
Great one. What are the little green balls on the right?
@sunlovin it's a different one, for sure. I think it bounces in and out of the Aloe genus every few years bc it's so different, and taxonomists can't agree on where it belongs. It also goes by the name Gonialoe.
@philstalder thanks! Those are a new addition as of a few weeks ago: Gymnocalycium stellatum ssp occultum.
@philstalder oops, I lied probably. The Gymnos are the greyish individual balls. The pile of green balls that you're probably actually referring to is a Rebutia pulvinosa ssp perplexa that I haven't repotted yet.
Great thanks. Another one for me to scope out. Lol 😂
@philstalder well by the time your ivy senecio is big enough to spare some cuttings my rebutia should be big enough to spare a starter head, so I'll be able to hook you up, if you don't come across one before then. 😂
Sounds good. I’ve been avoiding the Mexican nursery down the street that has thousands of succulents and might have them. . I don’t have any more room. .......Until my new bamboo plant rack comes this weekend from Amazon. Lol 😂 @beatnikcrab
Hahahaha, sounds like facilitating the habit! 🤣 I got a wire shelving unit for my plants, and I was amazed at how much stuff it holds. Annnnnd then weeks later I was amazed at how quickly I managed to fill it up. 😆
My mom's aloe variegata is blooming, too! She just got it a month or so ago.
Very cool bloom😀
