The entire flower stalk on my Dyckia, viewed from the top. I thought once the flowers started opening that it would be an entire stalk of blooms, but it seems like it's only opening a pair at a time on each branch. One pair wilts and the next opens. Still pretty, bc the whole thing is white and felty anyways, but not the flower display I was hoping it might be.

Kind of how it goes with cactus and succulents. The sure take there time to open. I know you’re going to post more of this pretty thing, I’ll be watching for it. #lovespringtime

@docthrill good point abt succs taking their time to bloom! I'll post more pics if it blooms in more profusion, or if I figure out how to take a decent photo of the whole thing. 😆

My dyckia sent up this huuuuuge stalk a while ago, and I didn't really know what to expect, but now all is revealed with the opening of the first couple flowers. 🤩

This huge, vicious Dyckia is starting to get some #wintercolor #wintercolour . Look, but don't touch! 😱 It's got a couple large pups growing among the leaves, but I haven't worked up the desire to reach in and excise them. 😬 #foliagefriday
