I'm mostly into cacti, aloes, and other heat tolerant succulents, and more recently hoyas and some tropicals. Phoenix, AZ. USDA zone 9b, heat zone 11.

The results of yesterday's Gasteria re-pot. 'Little Warty' in front and obliqua (aka gracilis/bicolor) in back. I thought there'd be room in the pot for a couple more varieties, but it would've been overcrowded in no time. Sigh! Time to find another pot, I guess. 🙄

How nice! My Gasteria grow slow. 🌞

@sunlovin when I say "no time" I mean a couple years. 😂 I'm playing the long game here. They are definitely not fast growers! Maybe a few leaves per year. Occasionally a baby. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They're much happier in the ground if you've got an appropriate spot.

Repotting some Gasteria today, and discovered that the broken leaf I'd previously left in the pot to propagate was a success, so I thought I'd post it as a PSA reminder that gasteria can be propped from leaves! Gasteria x aloe hybrids as well! Purebred aloes or haworthias, meanwhile, cannot. I'm not sure about gasteria x haworthia hybrids.. 🤔 I suppose they should be able to! 🤷🏻‍♀️
