If you don't mind my asking, where do you purchase your Hoyas?
@aprilblue9 wherever I can find them! 😂 They're sooo hard to find in Phoenix bc they're not thought of as desert plants, but actually some varieties do great here. I've found carnosa and pubicalyx at Home Depot, compacta at Lowe's (with the LiveTrends plants), and the rest have either been purchased on Etsy (mostly from California Tropicals, but a couple have been from random individuals selling their own propagated plants) or received in trade from people all over the country (mostly FL).
Oh! And I've purchased a couple locally from people on OfferUp.
Thats cool. I used to be able to find them at lowes or homedepot but not for years now. Thanks for the info. I've been have a hard time finding any for a reasonable price.😊
I didn't have a perfect pot for my Hoya 'Chelsea' starter, so I made one. It's white Sculpey, which I shaped around a large shot glass. I "glazed" the inside with UV resin, to make sure the clay doesn't stain from the potting medium.
Well done. Ur a very artsy gardener. 👩🎨👩🌾
@txgardener aw, thanks! ☺️ It's something I've been meaning to try for a while.
