Went over to my mom's house today and had to break into the backyard to find her. 🤣 Passed her forest of blooming kalanchoes on the way, and couldn't resist a few pics.

Holy cow is that awesome! Looks like she's where you get your green thumb and knowledge

Wow I wish she was my mom so I could visit. 🤣

W😍W... simply Amazing❤

@lesliecole49 she does better with some things and I do better with others. The green thumb isn't necessarily universal. 😆

Beautiful 😍

Beautiful!🌞

That’s gorgeous!!!

Certainly not universal! My thumb is so barely green it's almost white!

Kalanchoe daigremontiana flower stalk on one of my mom's plants.

Wow. So beautiful. 🌺😍

Love them😘

Gorgeous 😍

Wow you weren’t kidding. Amazing 🤩

@hkyfvr @crabby58 @sherrisgarden @philstalder Thank you! I'll pass along the praise to my mom next time I talk to her! 😁

Oh my 🤩

My mom's plants, growing in the ground along a walkway on the side of her house. They get to be 3 or 4 ft tall, and then send up a flower stalk (the red thing in the background) that's another 1.5ish ft tall. Takes about 2 yrs for the full life cycle. After that the plant gets unshapely and tired looking, so she just rips it up and replants a cutting in its place, if it hasn't dropped some plantlets nearby that have rooted and taken off already.

Wow...that's amazing 😁

My mom gave me some cuttings several months ago, and these kalanchoes are the last thing I haven't dealt with yet. They've got no soil, and had no water, but this stupid thing is determined to bloom. 😆

Oh wow, my succulent knowledge is so lacking. I didn’t know they flowered. Awesome 🤩

@philstalder heck yeah they do! Let me see if I have a photo of my mom's plants in bloom. They're insane.

😍❤😍

@crabby58 idk what the heck I did with the Post Office receipt with the tracking #, but I sent you a lil package of Kalanchoe plantlets on Monday, so it should be arriving anyday. There's a leaf of some random succulent in there, too, that had started growing a plant already. Idk what it is. 😅

Great😃thank you 💕 @beatnikcrab I'll keep a look out for it. You're super👍

@crabby58 no prob! It's all in a very small pink bubble envelope. Idk how good you are about checking your mail daily, but I am not stellar at all about mine unless I know something is coming. 😅

📬 we check it every day, with Trooper 🐾 in fact, he loves to bring it in for a treat😃along with the newspaper💕 @beatnikcrab

That's adorable. 😆 My dog walks out to the mailbox with me, too, but she's only interested in sniffing the fire hydrant on the corner and sometimes pooping on the neighbor's unkempt lawn (which I do pick up). 😅 @crabby58
I potted up all the little kalanchoe plants my mom foisted upon me, and they're blooming already!
Wonderful💗how long did it take them?😃
@crabby58 most of these were cuttings, so idk how old they actually were. From plantlets (like what I sent you) it seems to take at least 2 years for them to get to flowering size even in ideal conditions. From mature cuttings it seems like they can flower immediately.
Oh wow, ok. I have some time🤣yours are just beautiful🌟
@crabby58 thanks, but I can't really take credit! 😅 I only got them a few months ago, and it's really only been about a month since I finally potted them. 😂
🥰still beautiful🥰
Gorgeous!!
