New arrival. Tephrocactus geometricus appears to be beyond my grasp for now, so in the meantime I nabbed a couple heads of its much more prickly cousin. I think the needles have micro-barbs on them, bc they seem to stick in my skin a bit, even at the slightest penetration. Also they're RAZOR sharp. Sewing needles have nothing on these cactus needles!

@philstalder I know, I know! 🤣 I actually took this photo to post with my review on Etsy, so I wanted to provide a better sense of scale with my bare hand. Also I was being lazy. 😂
