@beckers1974 Not long at all - the pips germinated within 2 weeks and we have another three apple trees in pots from pips. However the original tree has yet to blossom! It may need a mate but I have put a nail in the trunk (old wives tale) so watch this space!😊
My first apple tree took a few years and a couple of August prunings of new growth before flowering. Didn't fruit that year and only produced a couple of little apples last year. Much better results this year - until the insects got at them 😣 Fingers crossed for a better year next year.
My daughter grew this from a pip.
