@kez001uk I would be over the moon if that will be the case, Kerry. Any additional plant care tips in general would be well appreciated. ☺️💕

@bellabells I’m quite new to roses but using a 50/50 mix of skimmed milk/water has helped no end with black spot reduction. My roses are only a couple of years old so other than deadheading I’ve not done too much to them

Yay! New plant! 🎉🎉 If you haven't planted it yet make sure the graft (the knobly bit at the base of the stems) is below below the surface of the soil. Otherwise, you will get shoots growing from below the graft and the flowers will be totally different than the ones in the photo.

Very good point Urszula.. I believe I have dugged well below the surface, added one banana and crushed egg shells. I hope I did it right.. I will take another picture in daylight just to be safe.. thanks for the info, well appreciated 😘

Don't forget to water it deeply and mulch it after you plant it 😊

It looks like it's going to be a beauty with red new leaves and fruity fragrance 😍😍😍 I'm jealous! 😉

Thanks.. I am so excited and the same time so nervous that I might not be successful. Hope you don’t mind if I consult every now and then if I am on the right track 😆☺️💕

Don't worry, roses are tough plants and their care is really straightforward. 😊 Once they're planted you won't need to do anything with them until March. Feel free to give me a shout if you're unsure of anything 😊

Roses are my favourite flower Bella 💕 @bellabells

@gosmanalf Hi Alf, that’s good to know.. I think I like the idea of cottage garden with plenty of rose varieties.. I’m still deciding.. ☺️

Looks fab!
@ublaszko Thanks Urszula, also all your tips has been really helpful all along. This is the first and only flower of this variety at the moment. The other ones I planted have more buds showing but this ones seems to be the tallest. I’m surprised they flower on their first year. I might invest in more David Austin roses in the future. They are amazing. 🌹❤️
They're doing great then 😊👍 Hybrid tea roses are a bit slow to get going but each year you will get new stems growing from the base and more flowers. Do your have scent? My Peace rose has a delicious floral scent 😍😍 This is my 4th year and the flowerbuds are as big as golf balls 😲😁😁
@ublaszko That’s amazing Urszula.. it must feel heavenly being around your scented and colourful plants in the garden. Mine also has a sweet scent.. hopefully next year I will get started doing a proper layout and edging as my plants look a bit untidy atm hehe. 😁💕
My garden is very untidy right now 😁😁 I've been finishing my thesis and haven't had time to keep on top of the garden. ☺
