I don't have a clue what I'm doing, but I bought a house from someone who obviously loved the garden. Any advice / tips / help gratefully received :)

Merremia gemella, Convolvulus gemellus, Ipomoea gemella depending on your preference

Thanks @ashtonunderhillopengardens - I've looked those up and although the flowers look similar, this doesn't appear to be like a twining sort of plant so I'm not sure........ 🤔

@benjitzers Is it hardy? Could you show an entire leaf? Tecoma stans looks close but your flower is more of a lemon yellow

@benjitzers Would Allamanda cathartica be anything like a match?

Hi @ianshaw - thanks for the suggestions, but it's neither of those. I've tagged you on a leaf pic so hopefully that will help. The flowers open up fully in the sun and have quite a few flowers on each stem if that helps........

Hi @icedance - thanks for your suggestion. I agree - the flowers are very similar to evening primrose, but the leaves are quite different. @ianshaw suggested oxalis pes-caprae and I'm pretty sure it's that 🙂

Thanks @icedance - apparently it's considered a weed, but it is also edible! 😜

Weeds just a plant on the wrong place 🙂 unless its ground elder or bindweed of course ! 👍

I quite like it where is is @icedance - as long as it doesn't start crowding out any other plants near it of course 😜

Possibly a winter jasmine 🤔?

Don't think it's a Jasmine @cottagegardendave - it has no scent and is quite low to the ground......... not sure whether it's a weed and if I should dig it up or not??

Sorry, not sure what it is then. Might be worth putting it on a pot until you find out whether it is a weed or not, it would be a shame to dig up what looks like quite a nice plant.

Good idea 💡 thanks @cottagegardendave - it is quite pretty if it is a weed!! 😜
