This is how my passionfruit are turning out - it looks like its been bitten by a huge mozzie - I have been spraying with pest oil which seems to have stopped it a little but need to identify the problem - also would be grateful for any suggestions

Oooooh Bic my one and only new passionfruit vine is being eaten every time it gets new growth. I dont think I will ever see a fruit. I'll do a bit of research on your problem though I might learn something 😕

I had a bit of a research on the problem. Nothing specifically like yours came up. Some people were saying they had stings in there fruit from fruit fly though. Also it was suggested to save your envelopes, open at the short end and pop them over the fruit and peg it closed. 😃What a sight that would be. Mmm what about when it rains ? Vegie nets were advised too.

I think they get stung when fruit is quite juvenile. Our vines suffer same issue too. Suggested to us was fly traps near fruit/vine. @Bic

Thankyou @leisel and @deekay for your comments and interest - funny you should say something about the fruit being stung as we do tend to have alot of wasps this time of year because of the pool - I checked the fruit yesterday and the problem seems to be slowing down since I started using pest oil
