Aloe Polyphylla

Good afternoon all! Well look what we have here! A tiny bit of #newgrowth coming from one of my Spiral #aloe seeds! Actually, of the eight seeds I tried to germinate, seven of them are at this stage! 😀

These are supposed to be hard to grow from seed so well done! Where did you get from? I'm tempted as heard they're hardy

Good afternoon GTers! Well look what we have here! Remember the Spiral #aloe seeds I put into a jar of water the other week? Well, they seem to have enjoyed their time on the windowsill and most of them have germinated! Needless to say that I'm very pleased! Now to sow them in some cactus compost! 😀

@kathy - Most definitely Kathy! This is the first batch of seeds I've got to germinate! I think the temperature plays an important role in the process and it was too warm for my previous attempts! 😀

Good evening all! I'm having another go at germinating these Spiral Aloe seeds! Didn't have much success with them last year, but will keep at it until I get at least one to sprout roots! The instructions say they won't sprout for at least a month, but it could be considerably longer! 😀 #succulentsunday

Mine are still in the Chilterns seeds packet! Keep meaning to give them a go! Good luck Ian. 👍🏻🌱👍🏻

Good afternoon all! These look like they'll be interesting to grow! They germinate in water before you move them into more conventional cactus compost! They look pretty awesome too once they've grown up! Thank you Jane @pelly for bringing them to my attention! 😀 #seed #seeds #aloe

@mrsflowerpot - There seemed to be very few places selling them in this country, and Chiltern were the only company I'd heard of before! I'm quite looking forward to giving them a go! 😀
