Good morning GTers! I had lots of these lovely Glory of the Snow #bulbs come up last year, but only a handful have returned! Think the bulbs must have rotted in the wet ground we've had since last summer! Have a super Saturday everyone! #bulb #blue

Must have planted about 100 of these Glory of the Snow bulbs last year, but only one has decided to show itself so far! Even this one is reluctant to open up fully!

I've previously had the same problem. Lovely little plant though!

Maybe it needs a good deep freeze and heavy snow cover? They actually multiply here in eastern Canada with no difficulty.

@MelanieAt @mikethegardener @bigemrg actually freezing or putting them in the fridge might work, I have had seeds before that recommend this to aid germination, so you never know until you try 😆

@mikethegardener @MelanieAt @katgreen @brightcolours @titchyfra @juliesgarden @sara2309 @latebloomer Thanks all! Yes, maybe they need it to be a lot colder to spur them into life! We haven't even had a very hard frost here since I planted them!

I think plants are very confused, they don't know what season it! You may be surprised that next year more come up - that's what happened to me with snowdrop bulbs

@titchyfra - I think you may be right! I've had a nemesia that's been in bloom all through the winter!
