Good evening all! A new #hellebore opened up today and it was a bit of a surprise! I had it labelled as 'Double Ellen Yellow' but I think it's the Red variety! It was even more confusing because the bud itself was actually yellow! Oh well, it's still rather pretty! 😀

@pelly - This is the one I thought was going to be yellow Jane! I've no more left to open now so I'll have to wait another year to see if the yellow ones turn up! 😀

I'll post the one I've got labelled as Double Ellen Yellow, I'm sure mine isn't right either. I've got four that haven't flowered so like you I'll have to wait. 🙄🙄

@pelly - I've got labels for White, Red, Pink, Purple and Yellow! Two haven't flowered but are labelled as Red, so I'm hoping they'll be Yellows as I've got the rest of the set! 😀

I'm pretty sure I got muddled with some my labels, my red one looks more like purple, but I've already got a purple one, aaarrrgh 🙄🙄

@pelly - Haha! It's easily done! You've also got to be aware that as they age, they Purple and Red ones tend to fade to Pink! Confusion definitely reigns! 😁

An absolute stunner!! 💕 I think you both have Double Ellen Picotee 🤔 because it’s a Picotee there will be more variation in the colouring with each flower @pelly
