Developing my knowledge all the time. I love growing plants: barely any space on my windowsills, nor on my patio as it's full of pots. #renting.

Or put shredded newspaper down first then the landscaping mulch down second.

Hi Alison, it's perfectly normal and they'll be fine until the weather warms up next spring. No need to do anything, just sit back and enjoy a cup of tea.

Oh I can see that the bulbs are not buried very deeply which is probably why you can see the flowering buds already. Normally you would plant the bulbs a bit deeper, twice the depth of the bulb. I'd just leave it as is and then next summer you can replant it deeper.

@ublaszko I had thought I had planted them deeper but will see what happens!

It might that the roots pushed them to the surface. I noticed it happening with my miniature irises.

#hyacinth #delftblue Not quote sure why the stem didn’t grow up above the leaves! 🙄. I assume I can pot this up in the garden for next year once it’s finished flowering?
