Decided I’m not going outside in this wind, don’t think there’s too much damage, so checking on my houseplants! My #baby #banana #musa I’ve promised this to a friend but think it’s going to be quite a while before I can cut it off to give it to her!! 😂 10/08/19 #dwarfbanana #musatropicana

@porto This is my #banana pup it’s only the second one I’ve had as I’ve only had the plant about 18 months. The first baby shrivelled up and died last year when it was smaller than this. So don’t think this is ready to separate yet. 31/08/18 #foliagefriday
Thought so @cyndi 👍🏼😊

#thebananagang 🍌👍😏
Oh lovely
Thanks @alan1111 love how they unfurl!
Yeah I love the banana plants. I had one a few years back, it didn't survive the winter 😞 I promised myself I'd get a musa this year, it never happened 😔 still there's always next year 😉
I keep mine inside by patio door. Seems happy all year. 😊 @alan1111

#musa #banana plant pup. Hoping I can keep this one growing. 😊 15/07/17 #dwarfbanana #musatropicana
Love to see new pups popping up. I leave mine in situ hoping for a big clump eventually #thebananagang
Last year one came up but it suddenly died on me. This one already looks bigger so hopefully I can keep it growing. @vec
Keep on feeding and watering. They're greedy beggars especially in pots
Ok thanks @vec
So cool!😍 How long did it take until the seed germinated?
This pup has grown from the base of its mother. I didn’t grow it from seed. 😊 @linchen

David @porto It's in a pot. I've not been feeding it though. It's growing quite tall now. And I've just noticed it looks like it might be growing a pup! If it develops well I could have a new baby banana plant! #thebananagang
Ditto Allison😏.. But what I've been told & read a large pot or ground + can't get enough water or food in the growing season 👍 but it sounds yours are doing great 👌🍌🍌🍌🍌😉 #bluefox23

Does this count as #variegated ?! #banana #musa #dwarfbanana #musatropicana
Snap 🍌🍌🌿🌿😉 @bluefox23
@porto As I thought! 😊😉
I'm hoping it's a musa basjoo aka Japanese banana 🍌🍌 only because their quite hardy 💪🍌🌿 ... How long have you had yours Alison? 😏
A friend gave it to me last year as one of hers had pups. I’m not sure how long she’d had it. She told me she kept hers indoors so I’ve kept this one inside by patio doors. 🤷♀️😊 @porto
Pups! 😂nice one 👍...has yours done a winter yet? Alison? @bluefox23 ❄❄❄❄❄❄⛄
Yes came through last winter inside and kept producing new leaves throughout! I reckon it’s grown about 6” since I’ve had it! Reckon it’s doubled in height. 😊 @porto

Was given this #banana plant from a friend last year. Has grown so much since then!
Lucky you, @vec has banana plants, if you need any advice 😀👍🏼😀
#thebananagang 🍌😏
@porto how often are you watering yours? Mine seems to be drying out very quickly and very thirsty. Watering it almost every other day. 😊
Hi Alison 👋..A good watering every evening & a good feed every morning 💪👌 @bluefox23 😏
Ah right ok so I'm not over watering it then. Thirsty things!! 😊Thanks David @porto 👍🏼
Is it in a pot or ground? & are you feeding your baby?🍌🍌🍌 Alison @bluefox23
