I thought this was going to be an all white one @ublaszko but now I’m wondering if it’s going to be two-toned like @kez001uk What do we think? #muscari #grapehyacinth 14/04/19
If you look at the encyclopedia, some of them look to have the latest tinge of blue
I agree with Leslie @lesliecole49 I noticed last year that a few flowers had blue specks and discolouration 😊
Thanks @lesliecole49 @ublaszko I’m quite happy if it has some blue anyway. Was just wondering. And at least it’s different anyway. Think I have a few of these coming up.
I only had 2 of these in the mixed pack. Mostly just common ones and broad-leaved ones.
They look nice with the blue tinge 😛 makes them a little different 😊
I just found the variety of this blue discoloured muscari. I think it's muscari 'Peppermint'. I have a few budding up now so will post a photo when I'm back from Poland. @bluefox23 @kez001uk
@ublaszko oh I love those!!! Hope it is one 😋😋 looking forward to seeing yours when you’re home 😁
This is the description: 'Peppermint' is a clump-forming, bulbous perennial, to 15cm tall, with strap-shaped foliage and, in spring, densely packed flower spikes with small, sweetly fragranced, pale blue flowers turning white at the tip of each spike'. @kez001uk @bluefox23
I'll have plenty of pics to post even when I'm away! I'm recording progress of my plants and taking photos as some I haven't updated since last summer. I've just spent 3 lovely days in the garden tidying and planting things up 😊 @kez001uk
@ublaszko I looked at some photos and definitely looks the same. Good call, thank you 😁
@ublaszko it’s been perfect weather to do it too 😁 always nice to see progress of plants we haven’t seen in a while 😊

Looks like this is going to be my only #white #muscari from my mix pack. All the others are blue/purple! Part of my #springmakeover 30/03/19
Yep, looks like muscari aucheri 'White magic' 👍 I planted a pack of these but only 6 came back this year. I must have dug them up by accident. 😅
I’m a bit disappointed I’ve only got 1 white one out of a pack of 20! @ublaszko
Tbh, I'm not surprised. I've expected most of them to be common muscari. I'm quite surprised I have a good number of broad-leaved muscari in my mixed pack.
I’ve probably got about 6 or 7 broad-leafed ones I reckon so yeah that’s ok. Reckon about 4 or 5 bulbs haven’t come up at all though! Probably all the white ones! 😂 @ublaszko I might have to buy a packet of just white ones this autumn!
Yep, I have about 5 or so broad-leaved ones but no flowerbuds yet so I don't know how many white ones there will be. I think I got my white ones as part of a mix of tulips, hyacinths and muscari. I prefer blue ones to the white ones.
This is the same flower, taken 5 days apart. I am hoping this one is #peppermint #muscari #grapehyacinth @ublaszko 26/04/19
I'll have a look at mine tomorrow. I'm coming back this evening. I think you're right though. It looks like Peppermint 👍
I'm going to say this one is muscari aucheri 'White Magic' with some blue discolouration. The flowers of 'White Magic' are supposed to be quite round compared to other muscari which are more conical. And the other white one you have might be 'Siberian Tiger' because it has that mop of petals at the top. That's my guess. 😅
I might have to buy some peppermint ones this autumn and hope they come true! I don’t mind what these mixed ones are really as they’ve all been lovely to look at. It’s just my ‘spectrum’ side that likes to have things ordered and accurate!! 😂
