Did they germinate in the end?
No @ublaszko 😔 think the seeds are too old but have a few left so probably have one last go!
I just bought some of these Shirley poppy seeds. Poppies need disturbed soil to germinate in order to expose them to light. I just rake over the area after I sow the seeds and I had hundreds of opium poppy seedlings last year 😁😁
Yeah they probably didn’t like being grown in my greenhouse in trays! Might just throw the last few seeds I’ve got into the ‘wasteland’ part of my border down the side of the house that I want to improve (with little effort!) 😊 @ublaszko
They definitely didn't like the greenhouse. Poppies need cold to germinate ☺ They also don't like to be transplanted so best to sow them direct 😆👍
