Lovely sunny plant ☀️

@christineb Thanks. Yes it brightens up the garden even when the sun isn’t shining on them. 😊

Looking great! 💛

Thanks really pleased with them @kez001uk Although one pot (not in picture) has had several stems and leaves shrivel up and I don't know why! 🤷🏼♀️

@bluefox23 that happened to a few African daisies I grew but no idea why either 😂

My #rudbeckia #marmalade #rudbeckiamarmalade are getting ready to flower. I can see the black cone developing! 03/08/19 #coneflower #grownfromseed

That's a work of art.

I can’t wait for it to open 😊 @novicegardenlover

Record of where I’ve planted some of my #rudbeckia #marmalade seedlings. NB plastic cutlery to stop animals digging up the pots. 22/06/19 #rudbeckiamarmalade #coneflower #grownfromseed

Have you tried citrus spray or pepper?

I’ve tried pepper before. Since my neighbours cat died, I’ve only had a couple of cat 💩 from another cat in the garden but that was where I’d dig to create my new beds. So I thought I’d better be safe than sorry to protect these. @ublaszko

Ah yes, freshly dug ground is an invitation 😁 I wish people would train their cats to use a litterbox instead of neighbours' gardens (I wrote that while tearing up from wasabi peas 😂😂)

@bluefox23 like the toilet roll idea👍🏻

Seems to work well. Started trying it last year 😊 @lostgardener

👍🏻😀
4 individual pots of #rudbeckia #marmalade #rudbeckiamarmalade #coneflower mulched. #advice Will these be ok outside over the winter or should I keep them in greenhouse/shed? 27/10/19
I brought mine in last year as didn't want to lose them, will be interesting to know what others do 🤔🤔
@sieveheadsarah mine survived the outdoors last year Sarah...🌻
Mine are planted in a border so have been outside for three years but we are in Hampshire which doesn't get severe winters 🙂
I'll be brave and leave some out this winter then Elaine & Sue 😖 @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @lilybee
Just double checked on my variety and it's Goldsturm which is very hardy - H6 on RHS website. The one you have Alison is H3 which looks to be much less hardy according to the RHS website. @bluefox23 @sieveheadsarah
I think I’ll leave mine out or maybe put one in greenhouse to compare!! @sieveheadsarah Thanks a lot @wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom @lilybee
@lilybee ooh right! Maybe I’ll do half and half as I have 4 pots!
