Looks like Arum italicum. Insignificant flower followed by red berries. Potential to be invasive, hard to eradicate and considered a weed in some States. See links. http://vro.agriculture.vic.gov.au/dpi/vro/vrosite.nsf/pages/invasive_italian_lily https://www.gardensonline.com.au/gardenshed/plantfinder/show_1223.aspx
You really need to do some investigation on this plant if you want you keep it. It has severe toxic qualities for children and animals to be considered. My advice would be to burn it to ash. I would suggest you try an Alocasia (African Mask) for attractive leaves. Caladiums are also magical for their varied coloured leaves if you live in the northern States. Begonias also have beautiful leaf markings. Sorry to disappoint you on your attraction to this leaf. 🐝
Kimberley, I agree with @annettenoosa There are better foliage plant alternatives that are evergreen. If this is an Arum italicum then it’s deciduous. Where do you live?
Help me identify this plant Any help with this plant?? I was told it was a ‘lily of some sort with an orange flower’ #lily #orangelily #plantid

@Annettenoosa so it would be ok indoors in a pot?? That was my plan. I fell in love with the pattern on the leaves.
