Question for all you warm people. I got these potted up in early December. They haven’t shown a single sign of wanting to root. I keep having to shorten them because the cut ends just want to rot. Could the mistake possibly have been that I gave each about a cup of water when they got dry? I have to root them inside since I’m zone 7 and it’s been a winter hell outside. But I have employed a heat mat in a east window with mild sun. Not enough?
I would try rooting one of these in water, you should know pretty quickly if it's gonna work, and if so then you can put the others in water!💘😍
need full sun root best late spring early summer on new growth. i would give them lights to increase to spring hours. rooting hormone speeds rooting and some have fungicides incorporated. i would increase humidity with pots of stones in water set near by as our homes are dryer than desert in winter @BobWallace remember every time you check you are damaging new roots starting , be patient good idea to try one in water /rooting hormone
@Moore.794 just read up in my sanchizia about setting them on top of rocks on a drain container or similar to create humidity which this plant needs.
