I'm happy to finally see some bees! Still trying to convince my husband to get some boxes next year. 🐝 #coneflower #zone6a #fullsunbed #southfacing #bee #michigan #puremichigan
@columbiariver I'm in a Michigan gardening group on Facebook and tons of people from all over the state are saying they have way less bees and how late they are too! It worries me
That's not good at all, very worrieing Brittnee 😱 did it say anything about how the losses were so high in the past year. It has to be pesticides and loss of habitat. It doesn't look good at all on a planetary scale 😢

Sounds like a disaster with the bees what's happening over there?
@alan1111 I just read an article that's said US beekeepers reported an average 40% loss this past year. 😯😯

@alan1111 It said some type of mite, pesticides and habitat loss are mostly the cause.
I've been hearing about this mite for a few years now the varroa mite has been wiping out bees on this side of the Atlantic Ocean as well 😞
