#lavender I grew from seed years ago has been moved to another spot in spring and seems to have survived the transition 👏🤞✨

#advice needed please! My first lavender (of many, I hope) Not sure when / how to prune it. When is a good time to deadhead? I can’t work out if the flowers are faded now, or not?! I don’t see so many bumblees buzzing around them anymore which is why I wondered if it was time to deadhead them..? Clueless 😊

Hi most lavenders can be lightly pruned when it finishes flowering but don't go too deeply in as they don't grow back from old wood . Just give it a light trim and it will look great. Hope this helps 😄

@pods Thank you 😊! Will do.

Yes take care pruning. I did a silly thing with mine and ruined it. Such a shame as it was a big Lavendar and the Bees loved it 🐝🐝

@midnightgardener I’m not sure I did great with mine either, they got some new shoots now but not as many 🧐 still trying to work out how these Lavenders work! 😊

@carmen-sylva Ask @ublaszko I think she knows. I'm sure she said to someone last year that they should prune 1 every 3 of each stem? Worth checking with her 😊😊

I'm not so familiar with lavenders as my soil is too wet to grow them. You can prune them once they start to look a bit tatty so you get fresh regrowth. You could go as far as a couple of leaf nodes above the woody parts of the stem or trim it lightly just below the top pair of the leaves. It depends how tall you want it to grow. These are slightly tender lavenders so you will need to protect it over winter. 😊

Just wonderful, I love it (almost as much as the bees). 🐝❤️

I have these too, so beautiful aren't they 😍

@Venkat Are we meant to cut back this summer after they finish flowering, do you know?

@carmen-sylva yes, deadhead through summer and cut back, not too much, after they finish flowering

Hi all, when is the best time to plant this out in the garden? Is now a good time or should I wait until end of April? #advice-needed

Should be fine now Roxanna 👍👍

Thanks @pelly As soon as I catch the smallest break from this never-ending rain! X

Your welcome 😊😊
