Asparagus Ariana F1

I’ve lost a lot this winter, an established perineal fuchsia, all my pelargoniums in the greenhouse and this is all the asparagus that has appeared,, tasted delicious though 😊

I keep walking past the top bed to see if any of my salvias and penstemons are showing signs of life...nothing so far☹️. On the upside, I now have room to plant some of my dahlias😆

@cee yes already planning replacements, we must be optimists always see a positive! Yes @juliesgarden picked steamed and eaten in minutes! 🤣 😋 funny though as I don’t think it was as cold for as long as other years…

@belindah you can’t eat them for the first couple of years to allow them to mature - it’s been a long wait!!!

@belindah you can buy bare rooted ones in the autumn and winter they take less time to establish.

Oh yes @belindah and @lydiastirling I grew them from seed so that’s why it was an extra long time!
