#deutzia Mont Rose #advice this is very over grown and although it looks stunning now is very untidy the rest of the year.. when and how should I prune?!

Its very pretty! Id prune after it has finished flowering, to get it back in check and to the shape you want. You could consider pruning a fair amount off the lower part, as well as for the upper half shape,to make way for under planting xx

Oh thank you 😊 @clipperty I like the idea of raising it too!

I'm sure I read up on this yesterday and it said tidy up in June 👍

Flowers will prob have gone over by then which ties in with @clipperty Claudia's advice 😆

Ah thank you @Keely yes over fairly quickly..

The flowers are a really unusual colour...every year I think I must get one! Xx

Help me identify this plant please.. It's a woody shrub that comes back every year, despite a heavy pruning, with a delicate scent..

A type of Weigela perhaps?

Looks like Deutzia mont rose @melvynprentice

Thank you @melvynprentice and @Andreamarie - I've googled both plants and I think the winner is... @melvynprentice but both very impressive considering it wasn't a full picture 👏👏

Thank you @Andreamarie

Thank you @carolecuttingitfine

Gorgeous :)
