I had these #lobeliacardinalis as plug plants and thought I’d lost them in the drought but just found one little flower - should I over winter then in the greenhouse or are they ok in the garden!? #advice please thank you 😊

Red hot! ❤️ they should be ok Carole...they’re hardy 🤞🏼although if they’re only diddy it won’t hurt to overwinter them I guess to be safe. Found the slugs were more of a problem than the temperature 🙄

Agree with Rachel. They are hardy but short lived herbaceous perennials but I would pot it up and keep it in the greenhouse if it's a very small plant Carole 👍☺

Oh thank you lovelies @rachelbrooks and @flof1952 hadn’t thought about the slugs 🐌 because they haven’t been such a problem this year, but that makes sense, and I think a bit of greenhouse tlc won’t hurt 😊
