I can grow ample coriander but basil is always a disaster so will try @linfoster advice. But can I ask a stupid question - how do you warm the soil ?? I guess not in the oven!!!!!

Oh @charlotte that made me giggle! I'm assuming not straight from a cold compost bag from outside but to pot up and warm in a sunny window sill or greenhouse before sowing.. 🤔it's so difficult to know isn't it as some seeds need to be in the fridge for while before sowing, some need soaking- thank goodness for @linfoster a wealth of knowledge!
