Pisum Sativum 'Hurst Greenshaft'

Mmmmmh lots of lovely peas… think I’ve planted them a bit close to the sprouts through! Who needs Pilates when you garden, with all the stretching and twisting involved in picking peas!

No they are very sporadic @rachelbrooks but I only planted a few of these ones as they were a saved pod that was left on a plant to dry out... might have been #notmygarden 🤔

Oh! 🙊 naughty! 😬😂 do they keep in the fridge or should I just freeze them? I'm thinking if I only get a few at a time I'll want to save them up till we get a decent portion out of them!

Yes I drop them straight in a freezer bag fresh from the pod with no blanching and they are for special occasions only 😂😂😂 in a risotto or with a piece of salmon #precious 😂 @rachelbrooks

The only peas that have germinated are the ones I "acquired" from a National Trust visit last autumn! And they are nearly 5 ft tall and in flower! #edible
