It's definitely not perfect but it's my first #zinnia that I've grown from seed this year to flower, I found them difficult to germinate and it's a miracle I've got any, as they have been dying off all year! #precious 😆 🌺 have a fab Friday everyone
You too Carole, well done 👏👏👏
Still very pretty though Carole .......happy Friday to you :)
They like it really got don't they poor thing is probably fed up with all the wind and rain, bit like me 😁 still looks lovely tho 😊
Thank you lovelies @pelly @flof1952 and @angiecrazycatlady - I'm scared to check the forecast! So far it hasn't bothered me but it won't be long 😏 fingers crossed for the 19th - your daughter's wedding And my son's 30th birthday kayaking party!?! 😱🌊
Thanks @scaryskates I certainly intend to - you too, though I dread to think what you are up to 😂 bin dipping? Wildlife watching? Bit of ancestry research? Hanging out a tree? 🤔🤔
Morning Carole my first zinnia flower looked like it had been dragged through a hedge backwards but my second flower was lovely must admit mine were a bit tricky to germinate 😏 but I don't remember having that problem last year with them 🙄 have a lovely day 😊
I know luckily my daughter isn't to fussed about the weather so it'll be just me stressing and doing a sun dance 😂😂😋
Ah @angiecrazycatlady that's our job isn't it 😫 dance like no one is watching 💃🌞mmh I've always had a problem with them @nessas apparently they are a bit precious and don't like being moved at all so a friend says she sows them in peat pots so no transplanting at all and hers are amazing! So next year...
Oh now that sounds like a plan will definitely try that next year 😊 thank you 🤗
Well done 👏🏼

More pink, grown from seed 😊
At last a #zinna - these have had so much cosseting! Grown from seeds in peat pots so that they aren’t traumatised by repotting, not watered too much and kept in full sunshine! Happy fabby Friday everyone 😊
Morning Carole, that’s such a pretty colour. Mine aren’t looking anywhere near as good, maybe I’m over watering them, I didn’t realise they didn’t need as much 🤔🤔
Thank you @LyndaClack and yes @pelly I read somewhere or maybe heard it from Monty.. keep dry and in full sunshine and definitely working.. I lost loads to rotting off last year
Thanks Carole 👍😘
Morning that's lovely you can't beat zinnias have a good day
Very pretty 🌸💕Didn’t do any this year as they weren’t very successful last year!
Mine are growing in a pot with other annuals. I was really happy all germinated as it was my first year sowing them. But they're only half the size they were supposed to be so must remember to give them more room next year. I tried growing them in a flowerbed last year but they got eaten by slugs/snails.
Lovely 😍
Thank you @Keely @Diane051285 and this was last chance saloon for them @rachelbrooks and I couldn’t resist a free packet of seeds with GWMagazine but following advice they were better this year.. sounds like you’ve done really well @ublaszko 😊 definitely recommend peat pots then planted close together in a planter 😊
I planted some last year but only got 4 out of 10. Need to try them next year. Always worth another Go
I might try that with my annual mix next year 👍 I don't really grow a lot from seed because according to my cat windowsills are not plant shelves and she keeps breaking seedlings when she's swishing her tail while looking at birds outside 😅
