Does it bear fruit or is it ornamental?

The plant encyclopedia says "bears juicy, sometimes edible fruits", @sunnycrestfarmgirl ...what "sometimes edible" means I don't know....lol

The black current bushes on our farm give off a musty odor..the fruit is bitter but makes a fine jelly or cordial..i use them to make infused apple cider vinegars..they are loaded with anti oxidants and resveratrol because of their dark skin
