#watchthisspace when I visited Highgrove last year HRH had a beautiful rose and clematis planted together in the Carpet Garden. I’m hoping to replicate this in pots - wish me luck! DA Rose Lady of the Lake and Clematis Jackmanii - he had a purple Clematis Wisley but I already had mine so hopefully it will give the same effect 🤞 I’ll update you in 6mths! #ngsessex

😂 terracotta balls, helps keep moisture in and I also stand smaller pots on surface...they don’t melt in the mouth! 😂 @scaryskates

I've never heard of terracotta balls, do they work well. I imagine they help shade the roots too 😊

Looking forward to seeing the results!

They do Angie, I use them on all my pots with Clematis in @angiecrazycatlady

Me too! @richard.spicer.7906

Do the terracotta balls make a difference than pebbles caroline?, ive not seen them before 🤔

I think they do Dave as they seem to stay damp and can get mossy @davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co
