Love this pic I took in the Peak District in the Derbyshire Dales last February 2015. Such deep snow and soooo cold but was an amazing weeks holiday!

My silver birch (pride and joy) started life in my garden as a mere 'stick' and now 10 yrs later HUGE!! lol

I have been given a young tree for my birthday. I will be making a new garden area on some land we have bought to extend the garden

.... my silver birch will be the centre piece of my new wooded garden I am going to plant up

That will be lovely I'm sure ! Silver Birches are one of my favourite trees the other being the Snake Bark tree! Haven't managed to find one that s small enough for my garden tho !

Years ago we brought home a weeping birch in the car, sticking out of the sun roof. It grew into the most beautiful tree. Was sorry to leave it when we moved two years ago. Betula pendula youngii. Gorgeous tree for a small garden
