Solanum lycopersicum 'Black Cherry'

Franken-tomato plant. It’s so tall, I can’t get it all in the shot. This isn’t normal… this was grown from seeds cultivated from a store bought pack of cherry tomatoes which were supposed to be organic/non gmo. I’m thinking maybe that wasn’t the case?!

They could be an heirloom variety. I planted all heirlooms this year and they are huge plants!! I bought six 8’ stakes and wish I’d bought more. My cages were a joke!! @cghat1021

This plant is in the garden bed. The potted plant has some ripened fruit already, this one doesn’t but it looks more productive.

Black cherry tomato seedlings moved to planter 5/15.

Seeds taken from organic fruit - will update with plants. So far, good germination but the babies are not surviving.
