I think you would get the plants but just leaves. The flowers might not come next year. You might be able to get ready-to-flower wallflowers in the spring at nurseries?
@bluefox23 ah yes, I did see some bareroot ones at Hillier the other day - however they didnt seem too healthy so i opted for the seeds. I then realised i misread "planting out" as sowing in october so unable to plant them now :( Thats a good point though, thanks :) My favourite commenter
@ublaszko Yes, funnily enough I saw some yesterday. All of my favourites were sold out though so I'll be going back on Saturday. Are they hardy then? I don't know a lot about them :)
I think they're hardy and evergreen although need protection from snail and slugs, especially the young plants 🐌💣😂😂 I have some wallflower seeds as well which I particularly like but I never actually end up sowing them as it's so easy to buy them as plants and they're only good for one year really. 😊
I am hoping to include wallflowers in my display next year. However, I have discovered they are biennial so I would only get plants in 2020 :( Do they sell year old plants? Or could I plant some seeds now and still get them for next year? Any help is appriciated :)
forgot to post this when the wallflowers were out :)
Gorgeous, love all the colour ❤ 💛💚💖
