Fuchsia safely cleaned of aphid eggs and re-potted, thanks to @hayleyaj . I have a dilema though, the concervatory is the coolest part of the house but is still warm enough for the aphids to survive. What shall I do?

Have a spray of diluted washing up liquid and spritz as you see fit 😊

The aphids will survive even the cold outside 😬😬 I've just been pottering around outside and found greenflies on my pulmonaria and last week I found some on my aquilegia. Time to spray! 😈😈😈

@hayleyaj will that deter them?

It’s an eco friendly bug spray instead of using a chemical one

These two fuchsia cuttings (one significantly larger than the other) seem to have a weird sandy coloured specs all over the leaves and soil. It is only on these plants, not any of the other cuttings I have in the exact same place and the specks don't seem to be living, but then again I'm not sure. #advice

It’s aphids Charlie. Wipe the leaves, stem etc and put in a cooler but frost free place. It will be fine but aphids can’t survive in an unheated room 😊
