@ublaszko eek I hope so 😬 I might have a scratch around tomorrow and make sure. I read somewhere that it needs to be a few inches under but that might be wrong

The way I plant it is so that I can actually feel the top of the tuber just below the surface with my fingers. That way you can make sure it's not too deep in case you mulch over it.

Yeah, you should still be able to stick your finger in the mulch and feel the tubers underneath.

Bought this peony last weekend and not sure what to do with it. Label says plant in March but how do I store it until then? From now I've left it in its plastic and havent watered it at all, its in the conservatory which is light, cold, and frost proof. Any help greatly apriciated 🙏

If it was mine I'd plant it up in a pot for now Charlie, it would make it a lot easier to look after 🌺

I would plant it out where you want it in the garden. Peonies are hardy plants and as long as the ground isn't frozen it's ok to plant them. My peonies have already started growing new shoots.

As Urszula says Charlie, it will be completely hardy when it's out in your garden so don't worry too much about it, if you do pot it up just water it in and it would be fine outside until you decide where you want it, or as Urszula says, plant it now if your ground is OK. Don't plant it everso deep, try and see how deep it's been before it was lifted, you can usually see some stalk left over. It looks a lovely one, I love paeonies but none of mine are named varieties 🌺
