I’m growing two types of tomatillos, purple and verde, but due to an unfortunate popsicle stick shortage in my household, I have no idea which one this is! 😂

This guy was a bit sad and leggy when I bought him a few weeks ago, but is looking so much happier and healthier now.

@CheerfulandLiterate My tomatillos are blooming early this year but I started the seed in March. Since you need 2 to fruit I went overboard as usual and have 8 blooming. They are one of my favorite things to grow. And eat. Good luck with them. 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀

@tkept Thanks, Tom. This is my first year growing them (I only have two plants) but I am definitely going to start some from seed next year.

@CheerfulandLiterate Tomatillo seeds are super easy to save. When a little over ripe I quarter one, put it in a pot of water and just stir. You will notice all the seeds sink and come off clean. You don’t get them all that way but plenty to plant. Then I let them dry on paper. Not paper towel. They stick to bad. I have also planted a slice in potting soil then thinned them out. Watch YouTube on that. Many ways. Tom
