@Opuntia I struggled for a long time with wasabi it just sat there looking sad. I've been told that it likes to be kept cool with no direct light. It seems to stop growing in the summer and does most of growing in the spring / autumn, I bring it into an unheated greenhouse for winter as is not 100% frost hardy. In Japan they grow it in beds of gravel with running water but I can't manage that but seems ok being moist but not sitting in water- water couple of times a week. Hope this helps.
@chiffchaf I lost one plant which wasn't happy in a bog garden. Mine is in a poly tunnel now. It does get hot of course but also it gets noticed at watering time.
@Opuntia I think when they say it likes it cool they should say cold as they tend to suffer when the temperature gets above 20 C which can be tricky to maintain even in the wet and cool British summer ! Maybe try growing putting outside in the summer somewhere that doesn't get much sun maybe somewhere north facing perhaps. It is meant to be the hardest plant to grow and I keep expecting mine to turn up its toes because I looked at it the wrong way !
Outside getting some rain. It’s going to be too warm in the conservatory soon... hopefully 🌞#edibles
