I've been a life long city girl. I have recently moved to 4 acres in Corryton, TN. I have a lot to learn πŸ˜„πŸ¦ŒπŸ¦ŠπŸΏπŸ¦ƒπŸ¦…πŸ¦‰

She's getting very tall. Should I repot her or just fertilize?

@Cyndi, I think it does need a bigger pot. It's in the basket it came to the funeral home in.

@Cyndi, I keep the clear plastic trays under all the plants so they catch any over flow.

@chimissy16 Before you repot your umbrella tree you might what to visit, gardeningknowhow.com or just google does umbrella trees like to be rootbound/gardeningknowhow. I just checked because your umbrella tree looks so healthy but that's just me. But if your roots r coming out through the bottom or pushing through the top I'd repot it but maybe there's a certain time of year to do that. Like not transplanting your peace lily til it's gone through its flowering cycle

@chimissy16. I'm not at all trying to undermine anyone's advice. And I sure have a lot to learn about plants but I guess I'm just real cautious when it comes to my plants. I've gotten great advice from GTer's so I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way 😊💕

@terrimclaughlin, thank you for the advice. The umbrella, Peace Lily basket, and Calla Lily are very healthy. Even the Calla that droops appears to be healthy.

This rubber tree has been facing east in the dining room windows. It gets great morning sun and had been thriving! I recently moved it to the front, west facing patio bc of an inside remodel. I placed it close to the front of the house, out of the wind and some of the rain. It now has large brown spots!?!? I don't know if it's from all the rain, too much afternoon sun, or has been attacked by something. I don't see any bugs on it...help!!

Hey Melissa,it looks to me like it is sunburnt from afternoon sun. They like the filtered like, part sun - part shade. It's a tender plant but can trim off the leaves. It will produce more it just takes some time, fertilizing, the right lighting and of course,Love.💖
