Just got my first chalk sticks. I’m after some advice for this little guy. Is he leggy at all? Can I behead him somewhere near the base and both parts will grow? I just want to be able to multiple him as best as possible but have had conflicting information so far. I also don’t have any rooting hormone, I could be patient and not touch him until I buy some. Also should I wait until winter is over first? 😊😊😊 thanks in advance
It looks normal to me .I have some in a pot that are leggy and my ones in the ground are more compact. It depends if you plan to plant out in the garden or keep in a pot but they love sun .They throw up new plants from under the soil.😁
Thank you @Muzz67 I’ll be keeping it in a pot (hopefully many pots in the future) can’t wait till I get some new growth haha I’ll be jumping around with excitement 😁

Some people have success using honey instead of rooting hormone powder.
The miniature variety stays quite compact I find 😁
