Had my present garden for about five years. It is a continuing 'work in progress'.

The slugs, snails and rain haven't destroyed this one. Yet. #dahlia

This is the 2nd Bishop dahlia I have discovered today.I only really knew the old Bishop of Llandaff but found Leicester earlier today and now your stunning York. There's an interesting article I've just read after googling for Bishops' Dahlias. They listed 10 all with that beautiful dark foliage. Would be an interesting project to build a 'garden folly' in the shape of a church and house all the Bishops' Dahlias. www.gardeners voice.com for Bishops Dahlias and Bishop's Children With Dark Foliage

I've been considering getting a collection of the Bishop dahlias for one of my brothers - he's a vicar. Think of the fun he could have inviting folk to meet them! @angipangi

Never mind your brother what about me having a collection. I'm thinking of saying to the neighbours I'm in a bit of a hurry I'm just going to feed the Bishop of York, Bishop of Llandaff, Bishop of Leicester in the garden. Helps them grow you know 😂😂

Agh. Just realised I misnamed this one - it's Bishop of Oxford. York was nearby but there's nowt left of it - the slugs have munched it to the ground. So this is another Bishop for you @angipangi

It's going to be a bit difficult to tell people that the Bishop of York was eaten alive in your garden.😂😂 I must tell myself to grow up and stop seeing the funny side of everything. Somethings are more serious than that like saying I had to put what remains of the Bishop of York in the compost bin. You'd have the Met heavies digging up your garden for weeks.😂😂

Trouble is, Mo, @angipangi that being grown up is very boring! Long live silliness!
