Had my present garden for about five years. It is a continuing 'work in progress'.

These are the bugs that eat the flower buds on my honeysuckle. Any ideas on how to get rid of them? They kill all the flowers and there are just too many to squish.

The pesky aphid ☹️ - have you tried spraying with a soapy solution? I tend to blast mine off with the hose but this looks like quite an infestation @chrisf

I think this might be the next step @richard.spicer.7906 I had hoped I'd managed to get them under control earlier, but they've exploded in the last few days.

Bizarrely, my Scarlet honeysuckle has been flowering a little on and off since the start of the year. But I'm trying to get it to put on some growth first (only planted it in Autumn) as its tiny so I've cut all the new buds off 😮

I've had mine for about three years - a house-warming present. I think I've planted it where it gets too much sun, it suffers from aphids which destroy the flower buds. This year I spent a happy(?!) hour squishing them all. @richard.spicer.7906

I'm wondering if I've planted mine in the wrong location as it is in full sun too. Trying to get it to grow up an old Laburnum tree which is looking a bit bare now, with the aim that the honeysuckle will wrap round the branches. Will keep my eye out for the dreaded aphid if you've seen some attack - found some on my recently divided plants.
