I have a 15 year old plumeria tree that I bring in every winter. It is over 7 feet tall. It has never been pruned before. It has had one seed pod with about 30 individual seeds in it about 5 years ago. I need to prune it, since it is getting to large for my house. Although I don't want to harm the blooming season of this lovely plant. Can anyone advise how to prune safely without harming this beautiful tree? Thanks.

They handle cutting very well and any branch you cut off can be potted to grow a new tree. Just do it when it's not too hot out to limit stress.

Thanks. Do you know if it takes awhile to re-bloom again? I know my seedling is close to 5 years and no bloom yet.
