Please excuse the ugly garden edge. I have wanted to get rid of this and I think it's about time.

I can't believe how many blooms I've already had. This is only the second year having them. I started with 3 little plants.

They multiplied nicely. Can't wait to see the flowers. #iris #louisiana #Zone8b

@christeentranchina I dug & separated some iris out of a "long forgotten flower bed" this week. I think some of their roots almost made it to China!!! Lol ....Whew...I was one tired ole gal that day!!

@jruthie I'm hoping they multiple as well this year. Then I can divided them and put them in low areas in the yard. I have a good 4' along my fence line that stays wet for a good day after a rain. I can see them thriving there. Can't wait. Just think, all that hard work will lead to more flowering of you iris bed lol. ;)

@christeentranchina 👍🏻 That sounds beautiful! Oh, they will multiply!! 😳😂

Awesome Green Thumb

@champnet I sure do give it one heck of a try. My mother's family farmed and we always had something growing in our back yard....I was really young then. Wish I had grown up around her family and gathered all the information I could've. Instead I research as much as I can.....sometimes with true success and other times with dead plants lol.

@christeentranchina Where do u have these growing...along,in,or placed in water?

@Acetaker it is in a lo spot in my flowerbed. We have so much clay that most of my beds are built-up. This spot holds water but they do need to be watered in dry spells....not a problem lately lol.

@christeentranchina r these regarding Iris you adapted to water?, if not what is the difference between the 2,if you could tell me plz.?😊

@Acetaker I just know a little on them. I bought these for this spot specifically because it has a tendency to hold water a lot.

@christeentranchina TY! That helps😊

Wish I would've taken a pic before they were almost spent :(
They are so amazing. They wouldn't over winter up here. I wanted to put them on the list for the plans of my churches potential wetland area instead of wet lawn area.
