Some of the flowers have white tips to them @jacaranda @italydiva but this one just decided to be orange 😊

Oooh yes, I’ve just scrolled back through your previous photos. Very unusual! 🥰

They're a bit odd Barbara, some do white and some don't 🤍🧡 @jacaranda

Thanks @emch @gjones @hkyfvr @pelly @anges I had to dead head it as the petals were dropping at the back, but thought it was well worth a photo. Sometimes the white doesn't come out as well as that. It's spent its whole flowering life facing our neighbour's garden 😐

Well overdue for splitting up, this was just one plant! 🧡

Wow! That's one massive dahlia!

It was really heavy Urszula, I left it in the ground too long really, had no idea it had grown into such a monster 👹 @ublaszko

That's great that you can leave dahlias in the ground 👍🏻

Yes we're always the mildest temperatures on the weather map, I do routinely mound them up and this year lifted about half just in case, including the monster 😅 @ublaszko

What did you split them with Sue? I've got a few that need dividing 🙂

Brute force and ignorance Ange 😅. I let them dry out upside down and wiggled a hand fork backwards and forwards until I felt it start to give, then just broke it all up by hand. There were a few casualties and some old manky bits but most of it looks viable @anges
