That bodes well, so far my first flower wasn't what I was expecting either, a kinda dull orange.

Yes I know what you mean, look at my first one Deborah, it had no dark centre and yet it's from the same plant @DeborahBanks

Hemerocallis 'Tigger', or at least it's meant to be. I thought Tigger had a darker centre.
