I've been gardening seriously for approx 5 years. Recently moved house and I now have a large scale mature garden which I'm renovating & restoring.

Solanum tuberosum 'Arran Pilot'

Hi. My potato plants have black spots on them which I thought at first was just a nutrient deficiency. Top right of the photo I'm now worried that it could be blight. However is it too late for blight & might it just be some natural die back? They are probably getting close to harvest ... Thanks for any help. #potato #plantadvice #advice

It looks like blight to me and it can affect the potato’s so make sure it’s only one plant and if so get it out...

3 kg of #arranpilot harvested from my first potato sack (a smallish very cheap Wilko one) Over the moon with this! They were watered thoroughly EVERY morning until water came out of the well drained bottom. Used my fresh garden compost which is quite heavy, so lightened with a bit of multi-purpose. Thought I was over watering but maybe not ... Just 3 more pot sacks ... Then the ones in the ground too!! 😁😁😁

On the right are my Arran Pilot pots grown in a bag. The foliage has faded from a dark green (which can be seen from the later planted ones to the left) to a lime green. When will they be ready for harvest? I've had a little fiddle into the bag but can't feel anything ... thanks for any advice. #advice-needed #advice #tatties #potatoes
