How lovely Clare
What do I do with these now? Do I leave to dieback naturally? #autumnadvice
I leave mine, must be warmer here in Suffolk because they usually flower through winter.
I’ve had no flowers @anne8691 on any of my varieties for ages
I would leave it Clare and cut back in spring as old shoots will protect new ones over Winter if it hasn't flowered may need to be in a sunnier spot they don't flower much in shady spots. I take cuttings if mine every year as not always hardy, if you have a greenhouse you can take it up and store it in there over Winter. If you are leaving it out mulch it with manure, bark or even grass cuttings will help protect roots 😆
Thanks @keely It is in the sunny border, maybe I didn’t deadhead it enough after flowering!!
Do you feed them with tom feed? Looks healthy enough sometimes a good feed helps buds 😀
Not had many one mine either Clare, seems to have been a good year for growth but not for flowering.
