Straight carrots! Finally!!!

What am I doing wrong? Second year stumpy turned up carrots!

Stoney ground or clay? They look as though the good old carrot fly might have had a go at them too

Grown in tub with brand new multipurpose compost. No flies evident!!??

My dad just said about adding sand and newspaper to a trench and leaving it over winter. Now where to find a spot in the garden!!!
